If your visit coincides with a free event, why not add a little time to your visit to join us?
- During the school holidays we are planning a whole host of fun activities aimed at families and children to take place in our Education Foyle Room, opposite Dove Cottage ... There's painting, crafts and a dressing up box and some word games and an introduction to poetry and rhyme. So if there are children in your party, phone for more details.
- On Wednesday afternoons during the summer, we will be holding "impromptu" free performances on the grassy slope behind the museum building, weather permitting. We will be reading poetry by the great poets of the past and hearing some fresh, new work, written by poets living and working in our community. We hope to be able to include some music in the mix.
- The Bindman Talks are another series of free events, which take place during the summer months. They are lively talks on all sorts of subjects relating to our collections and the local area. See the main website for details http://www.wordsworth.org.uk/events/
